Dear Shri Darmayasaji,
My pranam to you. I believed that you had called at Kolkatta a while ago. We were in Ranchi at the time for the summer break. Since there many weeks have passed and I am much delayed in communicating with you. My apologies for the same.
I recall with great respect and gratitude your advice and I may add that you has a very powerful “Prabhau” on me for what you conveyed to me. I consider myself a very ordinary human being and I have much to learn. I must confess that I have not made a serious effort by following the steps enshrined in your advice. Yet those thought are embedded in my mind. I am indeed lading in my resolve to enhauce the quality of my spiritual level. In a way I am still looking for a ways to achieve satisfaction by doing some good however small it may be. That level of satisfaction can, I believe be further enhauced trough conveying pleasure in direct terms to whoever comes by. To raise a smile and build confidence perhaps is the first step. By “giving” however small and respecting the dignity of individuals specially the under priveleged enhauces ones attitude to understanding. As I inch forward towards a consaons understanding and application of humanism I feel that I have taken a step forward. I do hope that I can develop further my instincts in that direction.
Since you are a teacher of Divine Love I value your guidance which can help me to over come my own short coming’s.
I believe that to delete ones ego for objective aressment of issues, to contain the emotion of anger and lack of understanding flowing from an egocentric attitude are necessary for peace of mind and a movement towards achieving a higher level.
I having said that I at times feel disturbed and desire for control over mental agitation, so that conflict of ideas and interest in domestic circumstances are put to rest to the extent possible. The need for a road map for harmonising ones life with the various pulls and pushed of daily life merit introspection and deep though. As I write this letter I am indeed thinking of ways of a qualitative change in the positive direction. I will need to work for it in a way so that relationships are properly understood and deepened so that the flower of life will bloom in delight.
You have given me a road map but my resolve has not been robust enough to follow it. Yet it is embedded in the mind. We are human and the many distractions of life and lack of ‘SHADANA’ are weaknesses of the mind which needs to be overcome.
I have to deepest respect for your spiritual power. The Philosophy of building relationship on the basis of five and understanding and respect for each other is very appealing one. It will be my endeavor to practice it in my daily life, so that I can rise above the trivialities and negative emotions of life. Through that medium I look to the calming of the mind.
I have expressed many thought in this letter. It helps me to desire a faws on life. I shall however be grateful for advice and guidance as and when you find it convenient.
I close this letter with the deepest respect to you and will be happy to meet there. We are in Delhi next.
My “Pranam” to you.
Yours sincerely
(Caph. Rn. Ghosh)
